The experience

I'm Stephen Seagroves, the captain of the Hot Box. The fishing techniques used are family/kid friendly mainly searching for a variety of inshore bottom fish and trolling for blues, spanish mackerel and king mackerel in and around Atlantic Beach, NC.

One flat rate trip:

$500.00 - Up to 8 hours (less if you like) with two time slots available.

7am to 3pm

11am to 7pm

Capacity is limited to 3 anglers.

What you will experience

Inshore and nearshore family/kid friendly fishing around Atlantic Beach/Morehead City, NC. Specializing in bottom fishing, trolling and light tackle casting. Areas fished include Beaufort Inlet, Morehead City Port and artificial/natural reefs. Targeted species include weakfish (gray trout), croaker, sea mullet, sea basses, blues, spot tail pinfish, pigfish, sheepshead, scup, etc. Nearshore trolling for spanish mackerel, blues, atlantic bonito, false albacore, etc. Dead bait slow trolling for king mackerel, spanish mackerel, shark and occasional mahi. Great sightseeing too with abundant dolphins and wild horses.

Payment Methods and Policies

Please call 919-904-6588 for information and reservations. Flat rate of $500 for three anglers up to 8 hours of fishing. Hours are 7am to 3pm or 11am to 7pm. Reservations will be held on a $200 deposit. Deposit will be returned if trip is cancelled due to weather. Remainder of trip balance must be paid before boarding the vessel. All bait/tackle/licenses provided and anglers should bring appropriate clothing, food/drinks and sunscreen. Boarding usually will be located at a local pier on Shoreline Drive Atlantic Beach, NC but may be a boat ramp if weather dictates.

Cash and Venmo are accepted for payments.

Captain is fully insured and licensed by the USCG.
